We're situated in the idyllic, peaceful countryside of Angus, just a few miles from Forfar and Dundee. We're close enough to the A90 for easy access to many of the major cities around us, including Aberdeen. To find us, please see our detailed maps available on our contact page.
We're passionate about our own dogs and it's only fitting, therefore, that we choose to run Happas Canine Centre in order to take care of your dogs whilst you're away, giving you peace of mind in knowing that your much-loved pooch will be looked after with the utmost care and attention, but also, in particular, ensuring that your dog has a peaceful and enjoyable stay with us, making the most of the countryside around us with regular walks each day, along with plenty of exercise and fun in our fully enclosed training and agility paddock.
Our heated kennels have extra long runs, ensuring the largest of breeds never feels 'penned-in', as this can sometimes cause stress to a dog unfamiliar wiith the kennel environment, so we like to make sure their stay with us will be as comfortable as possible. Please feel free to bring along a special toy or bedding if you feel your dog would benefit from having something from home with them during their stay.
We cater for - and are extremely experienced in - special dietary requirements and many health conditions, so if your dog has special needs or a particular condition that calls for the usual exercise to be modified or medicines to be administered, you can be assured we will give your dog care and attention of the highest standard to ensure they have the best stay possible with us. If necessary, we also have an 'On-Call' Veterinary Surgeon available for 24hr care, so you can be assured your dog will be very well looked after and will never have to wait to be seen should the need ever arise.
We also have a Canine Hydrotherapy Pool and Grooming Room. Dogs generally love water and those who don't like it straightaway usually find they love it after they've had a session here. The health benefits of the hydrotherapy pool are vast and are used as an aid in recovery following injury, illness or surgery, etc., or simply as a fun form of exercise. Following a swimming session, we take the dogs through to the Grooming Room to have the excess water blown off, then dried and groomed.
As an additional option, we're also happy to look after various small animals other than dogs, as we understand that many homes have more than one kind of pet and are happy to put your mind at rest that they'll also be cared for and attended to just as well as your dog will be. If you require this service, please don't hesitate to give us a call and we'll do our utmost to accommodate all your individual pets' needs.
